About the Congress
Where does the world really need us? How can we contribute to a better understanding between people with different cultural backgrounds?
Within Young SIETAR we share a vision of this world as a peaceful and meaningful place. We also believe that through our actions and projects we can make a positive impact in today’s world. Our congress provides an opportunity to Near Planicabring our ideas to practice through learning from and engaging with similar-minded persons.
At the congress, we will together explore the following themes:

  • A collaborative overview of interculturalism in the past: what challenges each period brought, and how were they tackled by various schools of thought?

  • Learning from the present: what do the concepts (intercultural, multicultural, cross-cultural …) mean in different geographic and societal contexts – and what challenges are they addressing?

  • Tools, techniques, know-how and skills for professional and personal development

  • Inspiring stories of enhancing intercultural collaboration & understanding in the world

  • Exchanging our own stories and best practices

  • Working on real cases to help bring our cause to life

We would like to celebrate interconnectedness to build a better world. As the website of Interconnectedness explains, "A deep sense of interconnectedness, or oneness, is at the core of decisions and actions that are life affirming and good for the whole. In other words, it will bring forth an environmentally sustainable, fulfilling and socially just human presence. By organizing a global 24 hour event with a focus and concentration on celebrating interconnectedness, we manifest and attract more of what we want on a global scale: a greater sense of interconnectedness as a foundation for a world that works for all life."
