ACCOMMODATION

Derryvolgie Hall will be where the Congress participants will be lodged during the event.

Derryvolgie Hall
49a Derryvolgie Avenue
Belfast
BT9 6PF

Derryvolgie Hall is run, under the management of the War Memorial Hostel of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Historically, in 1919, the Presbyterian Church decided that the memory of those who had served during the first world war had to be honoured in establishing hostels to accommodate the succeeding young generations coming to Belfast to study or work. Derryvolgie Hall opened in 1995.

Located at Derryvolgie Avenue, perpendicular to two major roads, Malone Road & Lisburn Road, South of Belfast, our accommodation is within an eight-minute walk distance from the venue where the conference will take place. You can get the bus number 9 or 8B, 8C to/from the city centre easily (about 15 minutes by bus) or walk (30 minutes) and it is a five-minute walk from the supermarket Tesco and a petrol station opened 24/7.

Derryvolgie Hall is divided into three blocks, each having three flats of nine or ten single study bedrooms. All bedrooms are centrally heated and furnished. Each room has its own internet connection. Each flat also has its own kitchen and dining area, as well as toilet and shower facilities. Included in the price is the use of a launderette, a comfortable TV room, and a recreation room.

A central meeting room, dubbed "The Art and Soul Room" will be the focal point for our evenings. Wifi is available throughout the place.

What you need to bring: you will need to bring your own pillow case, towel and a sleeping bag. If possible please also bring your own cutlery and a cup. If you cannot bring any of those, we can arrange those for you with a local supplier, but the costs will need to be covered by you. Please let us know by August 1, 2012 if you liked us to arrange any of that.

See you very soon! Slán!
